Run or walk with or without your dog to the 10th Annual BARCStoberfest at Patterson Park on Saturday, October 25 to benefit the 12,000 homeless animals that come to the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) annually. The ReadySet Sniff 5K Run/1 Mile Walk, sponsored by Charm City Run, allows participants to either run or walk around Baltimore's Patterson Park with their 4-legged friends while raising funds for the four-legged animals at BARCS.

Following the 5K run, BARCStoberfest offers entertainment, food, activities, pet contests and informative pet exhibits. The festival features pet contests (including costume) with local celebrity judges, pet health and welfare specialists, pet blessing, pet micro-chipping, stage entertainment, food vendors, local artists, silent auction, raffles, other area animal rescues and many other exhibits.

Funds raised by BARCStoberfest support the 12,000 homeless animals the nonprofit BARCS cares for every year. The event is free to the public.
