The organizers of Hampdenfest are extremely pleased to announce that the festival will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 11AM -7PM.

When Baltimore City notified us, just weeks away from our planned festival date that they simply didn't have the resources to allow us to have the festival on our traditional second Saturday in September, organizers had initially decided to cancel the festival, fearing the change in date would create too many barriers to pulling off the sort of neighborhood festival we've become accustomed to.

However, thanks to the determination of our city council representatives Mary Pat Clarke and Nick Mosby, as well as the Mayor's Office, the Baltimore City Department of General Services, and the commitment of the Hampden Village Merchants Association and the Hampden Community Council, not to mention the outpouring of support of letters from fans of the festival, organizers feel confident that we will once again be able to pull off a successful festival a week later.

There will once again be three stages of acclaimed local bands, with an extra special guest band to be announced the week before the festival. The Toilet Races will once again be rolling. There will be a Kids Area for the young'uns. Beer will be provided by local brewers Brewer's Art and Union Craft.
