Description: There will be a Black Doll Show & Sale Friday and Saturday, February 19 & 20, 2010, at The Mall at Prince Georges, 3500 East West Highway, Hyattsville, Maryland. Show hours are 10 am until 9 pm and admission is free. This is the third time that this show will be held at the mall. It was first held at the mall in February 2009 in the center court in front of Macy’s. Like the first show, the upcoming show will be in celebration of Black History Month and will feature many nationally known African American Doll Artists, Doll Makers and vendors. They will be selling Black Dolls, Doll accessories, Doll Furniture and Doll related materials. This show is an opportunity for the young and old to meet these Doll Artists and Doll Makers and discuss the history and art of doll making. These exquisite and rare Black Dolls produced by these Doll Artists and Doll Makers cannot be found in major retail stores. Black Doll Shows have been held annually in the Greater Washington, DC area since 1990 at various locations and are now scheduled for The Mall at Prince Georges. In addition to the exquisite handcrafted dolls made by these Doll Artists and Doll Makers, there will be antique, vintage and mass produced Black Dolls for sale. There will be Black Dolls to purchase to fit every budget. This is a show that you don’t want to miss. For additional information, call (301) 649-1949 or view www.johnsonshows.com.
